Like mother used to make – there’s just nothing like it!

| 100 | g | butter | |
| 100 | g | soft brown sugar | |
| 80 | g | honey or golden syrup | Place these ingredients into a saucepan and heat up while constantly stirring until the mixture blisters |
| 300 | g | crunchy muesli mix | |
| 50 | g | puffed rice or crumbled rice cakes | |
| 50 | g | sultanas | |
| 1 | pinch | salt | |
| ½ | tsp | cinnamon | Place everything into the pan, stir briefly until well mixed and nicely gooey and sticking together |
| Line a bread tin with cling film and empty the mixture into the tin; fold the cling film over the mixture and, with your hands, press down quite firmly (the more compact the mixture the less crumbly the bars will be) | |||
| Place in the fridge for about 30 minutes and allow to cool; remove from the tin and take off the cling film; cut into bars or squares |
You could also add roughly chopped M&M’s for a colourful effect.
You make your own, you know exactly what’s in them – no artificial anything!
